Easterfest will mark a first complete year of my sickness.
It's funny how it's all played out - how this sickness stopped me from doing anything stupid during our family issues, how it has been a blessing in disguise, how it's completely changed my viewpoint on life. I have had the chance to grow and mature as a Christian this year.
Or, as a good friend put it, I had the winning ticket for the lottery, one which bestows upon me a priceless gift.
I'm past the point where I regard this sickness more as a burden than a blessing. God works in funny ways - and He shows me that even though I'm going through all this suffering, He's with me every step of the way.
(For those of you who point out that God is the one that did this to me, refer to the massive silver lining that I've noticed.)
My life will, eventually, get back on track.
Prayers go out this week to my friend Stanley, to brother Martin Fung's family, for mum's trip to Hong Kong, and also my friends Katie, Viv, Lilian, Robert and Patria. If you can, pray for these people too - they need guidance and support through the rough patches of life.
